Most people are lucky to have even one great love in their life. You have found two.

And perhaps for others is that so. But you and Will, you are not like two ordinary people…

This seemed appropriate today. The two of blades/swords from Cassandra Jean’s Shadowhunter Tarot, representing “an impossible choice.”
All because they do not wish the pain they’ve endured on another soul.
In YA fiction, there are those love triangles that are obviously just a plot device to create conflict between the main couple until the series ends…
and then there’s Will/Tessa/Jem.

Cause oh they gave me such a fright
But I will hold as long as you like
Just promise me we’ll be alright

Chibis!
Quick chibis Jem, Tessa and Will from The Infernal Devices cause I am too lazy to do something like I did with Jessamine .-.

AU: The Infernal Devices (Clockwork Princess)
↳The WeddingWill approached the newly wed forcing a smile. “Jem, Tessa, I’d like to wish you all the love and happiness in the world.” Will clapped Jem’s back to congratulate him. “Come on James, give your old man a hug, will you?”, Will said teasingly as he tackled Jem in a hug. He let go of Jem and faced Tessa. He raised one eyebrow, as if to ask her permission.
One last hug. That’s all I need then I’ll let you go, Will thought. An emotion passed over his eyes that Tessa can’t seem to place. Was it regret? Desperation? Longing? Tessa nodded silently. Will took her in his arms and hugged her tightly. “Goodbye Tess”, Will whispered very softly that only Tessa would hear. Then he let her go.He reached out to brush his thumb lightly against her cheek. “Take care of Jem for me, okay?”, he smiled. A tinge of sadness coated his words. He said his last wishes to the couple and turned to walk away. “Goodbye, Will.” He didn’t need to turn his back to recognize the voice.
Quickly, he ran back up the stairs of the church as he felt his tears threatening to fall. Not yet ,Will. Hold it together, just a little longer. He found an empty room and collapsed into a pew. He buried his face in his hands as tears started to pool his eyes. Pieces of the past flooded his memory. Holy water. Masks. Books. A kiss. Everything that he and Tessa shared is buried in the past. Gone forever. I love you Tessa, and now, I’ve lost you.
I have lost everything, Will thought. Everything.
Jem:
- saw his parents die
- got sent off to live in a foreign country with complete strangers
- is dying
- has been mocked by other shadowhunters because of his addiction
Will:
- saw his sister get deadly injured by a demon which he had released by accident
- got “cursed” by the demon
- had been convinced his sister had died because of him and his curse for over 5 years
- decided to leave his family at the age of 12 because he didn’t want to endanger them
- traveled from Wales to London by himself at the age of 12 (in 19th century SERIOUSLY idek how he did it??)
- rejected his family once again when they came to get him
- had to grow up making sure that he was not loved by anyone (= making sure everyone was safe)
and now let’s make it clear
NONE OF THESE FACTS MAKE ANY OF THEM DESERVE TESSA
BECAUSE
SHE IS NOT A PRIZE IN THE WHO-WAS-NICER-TO-ME-AND-WHOSE-LIFE-WAS-MORE-MISERABLE CONTEST
STOP OBJECTIFYING HER
SHE IS NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN DESERVE
thank you very much
